Terms & Conditions

Scentral Bark LTD aim for your visit to be fun both for you and your dog(s) whilst being safe for everyone involved. When using our facilities, you agree to the following Terms of Use:

  • Please leave the park as you found it. Failure to pick up dog waste or your own rubbish will lead to the refusal of future use. If you find anything left by a previous user, please let us know.

  • Leave 5 minutes at the end of your session to allow you to check the park of any items you have brought with you. 

  • Bookings will last for either 25 or 55 minutes.

  • Please leave promptly at the end of your session; we would not wish to restrict any visitors from using the facilities in the future.
     

Entering/Exiting the park:

  • Access the car park by opening the gate, drive in and park car.  Please close gate behind you. This is essential for the safety of your dog. You are responsible for making sure that the gate is secure and that your dog cannot escape through or under the gate.

  • Should you arrive early, please wait in the car with your dog(s) in the carpark until the previous visitors have vacated to prevent any difficulties for all involved, especially any nervous or reactive dogs leaving or arriving for a booking.

  • For safety we ask that you keep your dog(s) on a lead when in the carpark.

  • Please ensure you do not enter the park whilst others are using it.

  • The keypad on the field gate will accept your preassigned code, should there be an issue gaining access, please contact us as per the instructions adjacent to the gate.

  • Please do not share your code, it is only valid for your session.

  • Upon leaving, we ask that you leave the area as you find it, clean and safe for others to use.

  • We have allowed the five-minute time gap to ensure a safe exit of the secure parking area.

  • Where there is a group booking, please leave the parking spaces closest to the gate for anyone who has mobility issues.

Poo Policy:

  • You are responsible for picking up your dog’s poo and we ask that you pick up after your dog and place in the bins provided.

  • ‘See a poo, pick it up, bag and bin it’! 

  • Given the size of the field it is possible you may miss your dog’s poo, but we ask that if you see any poo you pick it up and your kindness will be paid forward and someone will do the same for you. 

  • Help us keep the field clean and dog poo free for everyone’s enjoyment.

  • There are poo bag holders sited across the park, however these may well become empty during the day or prior to us being able to restock, so it is advisable you have poo bags for your visit.

Activities:

  • The equipment/activities within the field are for the use of visiting dogs only.

  • Should you have children accompany your dogs on their visit, please ensure they are fully supervised and do not use the equipment designed for the dogs.

  • You accept that all equipment in the fields is only for the use of the dogs and you will not climb, play or stand on any of the equipment or permit anyone else to do so.

  • We ask that you risk assess the ability of your dogs in the use of our equipment/activities.  Prior to using our facilities and equipment, please ensure your dogs are physically capable to use without detriment to their health.

  • Please use your judgement during wet or inclement weather as surfaces can slippery and as weather conditions can change throughout the day, what may have been safe in the morning may not be later in the day.

  • Please ensure your dogs are supported if they are using equipment which sits above ground level.

  • Ensure your dogs are allowed to get used to the equipment/activities with several repetitions of smaller, slower, simpler behaviours prior to working fully on the equipment/activities.

  • There will be toys available for general use.  These will be stored in the shed of the Summerhouse and we ask you are considerate to all users and ensure all toys are left for the use of others.

Shelter:

  • This is an area which is made available to all users. 

  • Seats are available if required. 

  • Toys are stored in the shelter and please return at the end of your session.

  • We ask that you keep this space clean and tidy for the benefit of all visitors.

  • Please ensure all rubbish is removed and placed in the bins provided.

  • Please do not open or close the doors on the shelter.

Dog health and wellbeing:

  • We ask that all visiting dogs are up to date with vaccinations or have a completed titre test and are regularly treated for flea, tick and worm prevention.

  • Puppies must have had all their vaccinations before visiting Scentral Bark LTD.

  • Please do not take any bitches who are in season, this is very disruptive for others dogs and will significantly limit the enjoyment for other visitors.

  • Should any of your dogs be unwell with gastro symptoms, we similarly ask that you refrain from taking them to the park as this may be harmful for others visiting.  Please ensure your dogs have been clear of all symptoms for 5 days prior to returning for a visit.

  • In addition, should your dog be experiencing symptoms of kennel cough, we again ask that you refrain from visiting at this time.

  • Should your dog be unwell with any transferrable illness, we ask that you refrain from visiting and take advice from your vet before returning.

  • We ask that you never leave dogs unattended in the field.

  • Please do not leave dogs in the car whilst you have other dogs in the park.  
     

Weather conditions:

  • Please monitor the weather forecast and assess whether you and your dog will be comfortable in the weather that is forecast for your session.

  • As we are an outdoor facility, you will be exposed to the elements; in winter the ground will be muddy and slippery, if it’s sunny it will be hot. We strongly advise you to cancel your appointment 24 hours in advance if the weather is not suitable for you.

  • In the event of extreme weather conditions, we may deem it necessary to cancel your booking, wherein we will endeavour to provide reasonable notice of cancellation and will aim to offer you an alternative date and time.

Liability:

  • Use of the Scentral Bark LTD facilities and equipment are entirely at your own risk.

  • Scentral Bark LTD accepts no liability for the injury or death of any visitors, either person or dog nor for damage to any property.

  • Scentral Bark LTD also accepts no liability for any losses, claims, actions, damages, costs, expenses or other liability incurred whilst onsite.

  • You are fully responsible for your and your dogs' behaviour and actions and no claim can be made against Scentral Bark LTD.

  • You are liable for any damage caused inside and outside of the field by you, your dog(s) or any person in your party.

  • All dogs must be covered under their own third-party insurance (public liability insurance). This is usually included in your pet insurance.

  • We accept no liability for damage to any vehicles whilst using the carpark.

Acceptable behaviours:

  • We at Scentral Bark LTD aim for a safe, secure and peaceful experience for all visitors.

  • Please ensure you give all visitors – both human and dogs - adequate space should there be any cross-over at the beginning or end of your visit.

  • Disrespectful, abusive or intimidating behaviour will lead to refusal of future bookings.

  • Please respect the local area, there may be local wildlife or farm animals in the fields nearby and as such we would encourage you to keep any barking or noisy behaviour to a minimum.

  • We ask that you do not drop litter or leave toys or uneaten dog treats or human food in the field or shelter. Dogs may swallow them and become ill so please take everything home with you or use the bins provided at the end of your session.

  • No smoking anywhere on site.

  • Please let us know if your dog has dug a hole anywhere in the park, especially if close to the perimeter fence.

  • If you wish to book a session with friends/family, it the responsibility of the person booking to ensure that all visitors read and agree to our Terms and Conditions of Use.

  • Please ensure that all visiting dogs for your session are socialised with each other and no antisocial or aggressive behaviours are encouraged.  

Training Opportunities:

  • Should you wish to engage a trained professional to support you during your visit, please advise us in advance.

  • Should you be a qualified professional and would like to use the field with your clients, please contact us in advance.

  • Cancellations/Amendments:

  • Cancellations and amendments can be made 24 hours in advance of the scheduled booking.

Data Protection:

  • Scentral Bark LTD is committed to ensuring that your information is protected.

  • We will retain your personal information in order whilst dealing with your booking as a customer record.

  • Your name is required for monitoring of payments and your contact details to ease of access should there be any unexpected changes to your booking.

  • We will not share your information with a third party.

  • CCTV recordings will be deleted within a period of 5 days.
     

CCTV:

  • There will be CCTV coverage to assist us maintain the area and to ensure we are aware of any difficulties which may impact negatively upon your visit.

  • To ensure we manage the bookings effectively.


Pricing structure:

  • The basic booking fee of £10.00 provides you with 55 minutes and up to 3 dogs.  Shorter sessions of 25 mins at £6.00 for up to 3 hours will be available over the lunchtime period.

  • Should you wish to take additional dogs, please contact us in advance.  Costs for additional dogs will be £1.00 per dog.

  • The facilities can be booked for extended periods, please contact us for further details.​

Social Meets and Events

  • Your dog must be sociable and comfortable around people and other dogs

  • You agree to attend the event or meet at your own risk. Scentral Bark cannot be held liable or held responsible for any injury to people or dogs. 

  • You are responsible for your dogs behavior

Prohibited Breeds Policy:
In accordance with our insurance provider's conditions and in alignment with the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, the following conditions must be met when bringing a prohibited breed to Scentral Bark:

  • Owners of prohibited breeds must ensure that their dogs are muzzled and kept on a lead no longer than 1 meter while in the car park area. These restrictions may be removed once inside the Main Park or Classroom areas.

  • If owners have multiple dogs at home, including a prohibited breed, all household dogs may exercise together during one hire. However, there must be a 1:1 dog-to-handler ratio for each prohibited breed.

  • Prohibited breeds are not permitted to attend Scentral Bark with dogs from another household.

  • The dog must be registered with The Index of Exempted Dogs (IED) and a copy of the life certificate must be sent to Scentral Bark at the time of booking.

  • A copy of the Public Liability insurance certificate for the dog must be provided to Scentral Bark at the time of booking.

  • All guidelines under The Index of Exempted Dogs must be strictly adhered to, including that the dog must be neutered, microchipped, and kept on a lead no longer than 1 meter and muzzled while in the car park area. These restrictions may be removed once inside the park.
